"I grew up in food wholesale and restaurants. Three generations of my family either ran restaurants or supplied them with produce. My first job was as a waiter at the age of 14 ( it was legal then honest!)
After studying Manufacturing & Management at Cambridge University and graduating with the highest distinction in my year, I then worked for Procter & Gamble for 6 years before I came back to my passion - restaurants.
For the last ten years I have operated at senior level within some of the biggest high street food brands. Most recently as Marketing Director for Giraffe Restaurants and previously at Carluccio’s and PizzaExpress.
I have always revered the perfection of an excellent burger. So I decided to put my analytical skills to work and identified how to give customers the experience they want. Through research, listening to customers and developing a detailed scientific understanding of what is important Cut & Grind is the superlative representation of a beautifully simple product.
My vision is to expand a unique, premium burger brand and take it to as many plates as possible. I’m starting small but with a clear path to growth.
I’ve assembled a great team of investors, advisors and collaborators. And I’m lucky enough to have an ace team working with me at my first branch in King’s Cross, our market hall in Boxpark Wembley and two kitchen residencies in Dalston and Angel".
